I watch How To Get Away With Murder when I can, why? Easy, I personally think it’s a great show so far. I’m not a diehard Shonda Rhimes fan, in that I never started Grey’s Anatomy, and Scandal . . . well, I’ll just leave a sigh for that one. This latest offering however, is a great mix of drama, intrigue, sexy LGBT action and, even though I feel like it does have some shortcomings, there are not many shows that don’t. Another huge plus for me is that the characters speak normally for the most part. So there’s no — *in my best Scandal voice* – “We are GOING to find him and get him cleared of all these charges because THAT is what we do, we are LAWYERS and we are GOOD ones and THAT. IS. OUR. JOB!” Yea, there’s none of that to worry about ^_^.
So, if you’re looking for a new show that definitely glamourises the life of law students and lawyers, while adding some great character angst and an interesting storyline, check it out, it could be for you :).
Other than getting my law swag on I’ve been . . .
1) Putting together responses for my latest magazine appearance. It is a Trinidadian-based international mag called Alias Magazine and focuses on pop-culture across mediums. Very excited :)!
2) Worked hard all week on two edits and their follow-up read-throughs. The edits are more or less done for these two novels, however, I’m tweaking with another read-through for both, so I can grab at grammar-crazy strays or anything else my eyes catch. I’m submitting these two works traditionally, so been literally wrapped up in them for most of the week.
3) Deciding on what I’m doing for NaNoWriMo this year. The thing is this — I have things that need to be finished that I could jump on during November or, I could tackle the new shiny stand-alone story that’s been calling to me for weeks to get on it. Thoughts? I’d be willing to listen in the comments section below ^_^.
4) Craving meat. Been having this total craving for meat of all kinds — ribs, chicken, burgers, you name it, my body’s been asking for it. However, as I haven’t been able to go out and get any, I’ll settle for a few beers and pork-flavoured chips this weekend with friends instead maybe lol ^_^.
That’s all from me today my lovelies, are you or any of your friends hitting up NaNoWriMo 2014 and how was your week overall? Let me know in the comments below :).
