I’ve been pretty busy the last few weeks, but that hasn’t stopped me from putting off something important. I’ve allowed myself the excuse of ‘you’re working hard on other things Jackie’ but if I’m honest, no fooling around, I know full well I need to complete this particular task and I’m simply avoiding it.
We do this often, allow ourselves to believe that as long as we’re busy, as long as we’re hitting the hay at night completely wiped out after a long day, we can avoid other things just sitting there waiting to be dealt with. Often these things keep us from progressing in other areas of our lives, even if we don’t see it at the time.
I’ve spoken on the topics of getting things done, starting, warding off procrastination, etc, before and I probably will in the future, as we all confront and have to battle the beasts now and then.
However, it’s a new week and I’ve decided I’m going to get cracking on slaying the dragon first, then anything else can follow. Let’s all get in on this action, remember, dragons are completely terrified of crowds and after all . . .
