Hey guys, I hope you’re all having a great week so far. I’ve been a bit under the weather, but the show must go on :)! This time round, I wanted to share some information about an upcoming release and a synopsis from the first in this new series – Ahrdas Chronicles: Dunnington Academy. As some of you may already know, my YA paranormal/fantasy Secrets of the Tenari is currently on Amazon and, those who commented (when I said you should lol), will soon know who wins copies of the e-book. For now though, please enjoy this brief synopsis:
Ahrdas Chronicles is an ongoing fantasy series set on the magical island of Ahrdas, found just outside the human realm. With both YA and adult novels in this series, it offers an interesting mix of stories that will leave you wanting more. Dunnington Academy (Book 1 in the Academy Trilogy), will be the first release from this series and will be available in June, 2013.
Wilhelmina Rothton is a fifteen-year-old witch, who just wants to get through her first year at the elite boarding school Dunnington Academy, unscathed. This soon proves to be impossible, as she’s swept up in life as a student council member, along with a lycan, seer, vampire and shifter.
The result is a whirlwind first year for the council, as they try to hone their unique abilities, while facing powerful third year bullies, violent rivalries and a sporting event that tests way more than their physical strengths.
Thrown face first into a magical world that is not only outside of the human realm, but chock full of betrayal, dangerous agendas and complicated first love, Wilhelmina must try to keep the dark magic within her at bay, an undertaking that will test every ounce of sanity she has.
I can’t wait to share more about this series with you :)! For now though, find excerpts from Secrets of the Tenari ‘here’ & ‘here.’ If you want to peruse WIP excerpts/flash fiction, search using the keywords Random Wednesdays :).
