Sunlight & Dramatics . . .

Don’t you dare give me that sad face . . .

I’m not a fan of very hot days, you know, the ones where the sun is shining on you and only you, or at least it seems that way? This is a ‘problem’ since I live in the Caribbean. Friends overseas are often saying ‘you’re so lucky’ and, ‘I wish I was there’, especially in the winter and I’m like — trade you some fall leaves or a snow man for few weeks away . . .

No takers? No one? Okay.

Right now, even as I can see it trying to fight its way through the barrier of my heavy curtains in order to brighten the room, I’m not even remotely enticed. I laugh in the face of you sun (behind the curtain)! You mean fireball, dry mouth instigator, ashy skin promoter. I laugh and turn my face away, joining writers across the world fingers to keys, pen to paper.

What’s Monday without a little well-placed drama? Cheers :)!

  1. I will join others in saying “Wish I was there”. I am afraid though you would not trade me even in winter, my winters rarely see snow or even a chill wind. Frequently we jump to the Bahamas in the winter only to find the trade winds offer a cooler breeze than anything we have at home.
